I am a recent Colorado State University art education graduate with a second fine arts degree in painting, and minor in Spanish. From Denver, Colorado, I have always had a strong interest in Colorado's emerging art scene and natural environment. I consider myself to be an adventurous individual who enjoys live outdoor music, painting with alternative materials, and strive to travel to see art in its many forms. Art is meaningful to me because it allows me to feel as part of the diverse community of people who are willing to share ideas and unique perspectives through creation and visual representation.
As an advocate for the importance of creative thinking, I aspire to be an art teacher who will help people find comfort in creativity and imagination within the creative process. It is an essential part of our educational system for students to think like artists and gain transferable skills that can be applied to all walks of life. Art can invoke anybody to experience individual discoveries, abstract thinking, and a creative mindset. |
