During the EDUC466/ART326 course, art education students endured teaching their peers relaying more experience teaching in an art studio environment, as well as allowing the opportunity to evaluate each other and learn from each other’s developing teaching styles. In this portion of the class, I had the privilege to part take as a jewelry-making instructor out of three art studio practices in a lesson focusing on Crafts Media. The three studio practices explored in this lesson were jewelry-making, fibers, and ceramics arts.
The lesson my peers, Matt Jones, Jennie Maydew and myself created revolved around the idea of a “Vessel”, a container holding something of value. Given the focus of creating a vessel, we allowed the students to choose out of the three following guidelines to create a vessel, based on what attributes the vessel would as a result emphasize:

- Time Capsule: Containing a message you’d like to reopen in the future.
- Fortune Holder: Containing a message of good fortune
- Therapy Vessel: Containing a message/secret that you’d like to rid/dispose of (only you can read it)
