7TH & 8TH GRADE CRAFTS
"NATURAL / ENVIRONMENTAL" PRINTMAKING Preston's crafts class students were challenged to consider composition, pattern, color and design all while learning the process of creating multi-colored relief printmaking that centralized around the concepts of nature and environment. They learned the proper way of signing a print and creating editions to value the uniqueness of each individual print they made.

7TH & 8TH PAINTING
"SYMBOL | PORTRAIT | DISGUISE" ARTRAGE DIGITAL PAINTING Preston's painting class students carried their skills gained in previous ArtRage Digital painting projects to create a mask postcard design for the Fort Collins Museum of Art Masks Exhibition (2016). They were given the choice of creating a mask that expressed symbolic, portraiture, or disquised imagery in their mask design.

"MAGNIFY" OIL PASTELS FRUITS / VEGGIES The 6th art class students learned about Georgia O'Keeffe and the main concepts of enlarging, texture, and color in a project titled "Magnify." Similarly to Georgia O"Keeffe students observed and exaggerated features of fruits and veggies while emphasizing their knowledge of including saturation, color mixing and value from their last project (name cards)..
